Burke Apartments

The Burke Apartments are a mixed-use development that brings residential, commercial, and amenity spaces together within one thoughtfully designed building. The project includes 42 apartment units, six of which are live-work units, three commercial spaces, and a rooftop amenity area designed for residents to gather and enjoy views of the surrounding area.

Dutch served as the general contractor, managing construction from the early stages of the project through final completion. The scope included site development, structural construction, building envelope, mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, interior buildouts, exterior finishes, landscaping, and the coordination of the building’s residential and commercial components.

With several different uses under one roof, The Burke required detailed planning and coordination throughout construction. The residential portion includes a mix of traditional apartments and live-work units that integrate living and working space within the same unit. The commercial areas add another layer of complexity, with spaces designed to accommodate multiple businesses and their individual tenant improvement requirements.

One of the defining features of the project is the rooftop amenity space. Located above the residential levels, the rooftop was constructed to provide an elevated outdoor gathering area with a pergola, lighting, seating, and views of the surrounding community.

Managing a mixed-use project of this scale required careful sequencing between trades, close coordination with ownership and design teams, and attention to the different requirements of residential, commercial, and amenity spaces. From the major structural components to the final interior finishes, The Burke showcases Dutch Builders’ ability to manage complex construction while maintaining quality and consistency throughout every part of the project.
